Madame Crowne is one of 3 ceremonial bird beings for my in-progress community grief ritual, The Wailing Webb. Her rosettes are made of trash bags and all the personal offerings written with transformative intent from this night and onwards will be worked into her costuming. Each time she appears, she’ll grow by incorporating more trash bag rosettes. In this tangible way she’ll carry forward the things we wish to be rid of in new form (yes, I gave something to her as well) Abo
