The Wailing Webb is an in progress multimedia ritual performance dedicated to all beings suffering from afflictions of the heart. It blends wearable art, dance, videography, puppetry, music and edible art to tell the symbolic story of my hearts journey with my former wife. It also includes an optional interactive element, which is an opportunity for all of us to give our sorrows to the web, and let them go.

At the center of this work is a large-scale textile web made from what was once my actual wedding dress. I buried it for a year and dug it back up, then hand stitched it into a sculpture along with much patchwork lace. This web is the heart of the show, functioning as a screen, shadow screen, backdrop and interactive sculptural prop.
